Jason: All right. Let's go on to our next systemic formula which is nattoxym which we actually have two different nattoxym products.
Troy : Right.
Jason: Absolutely, one of my favorites. Troy, can you, again, lead us into the formula a little a bit. How a clinician ... when I'm looking to use this guy.
Troy : Sure. Again, we took a different approach with this. One, we want to make sure we follow the studies so all the research and studies that have been done on Nattokinase are 2000 FU per dose, so that's what you'll find in a single capsule. In fact, a little bit more than that, it's actually 2200 FU per capsule in this product, for the one product. That's the full dose in one capsule dosage. Then, we also looked at like from a blend perspective, or behind the scene, we talked about sourcing earlier, that's very, very important. With this product, we wanted to do a blend of Nattokinases. There's the original doctor or ... I don't know if he is a doctor but we've always called him Dr. Sumi, so a Japanese research scientist that discovered Nattokinase so he has a very specific trademark patented version of that that has very specific amino acid sequence and that's only available through a specific company in Japan. We sourced that.
Second, we sourced one that's kind of a general brand that's very well established here, it's NSK-SD. A lot of research done behind that. That's also produced in Japan. The third Nattokinase is produced in Taiwan. Again, we take a blend of this and put them together to offer something a little bit more unique and I think more effective.
Again, all the same things apply from a mineral perspective, 100% vegetarian, vegan-friendly. Non-soy, non-dairy, non-GMO, all those types of things. Then, the other version of the Nattokinase is a half dose so some people like to take things more often and which is true. I mean most of the systemic enzymes, once you take them, they're going to be active, fully active in the bloodstream for, it could be from 4 to 6 hours. After that, you're going to see them start to taper off as far as their activity level so we designed these products so people can take a half dose or 1,000 or 1,100 FU per gram every 4 to 6 hours. They could take it twice as often and they have the same effect that way.
Again, some people are just used to that or there's a demand for that so that's why that product is in the line.
Jason: That's the secondary larger capsule count bottle?
Troy : Right. 186 caps versus the 93.
Jason: From a clinical perspective, Nattokinase can do all kinds of crazy, cool things. Let's talk about some of that.
Troy : Yeah, I mean wonderful research. Just going back again to the Japanese and the Japanese culture and where Dr. Sumi discovered this from as far as just the Nattō, the food that Japanese eat on a daily basis. Again, from a couple of different perspectives, one, as far as the Nattokinase, with lower blood viscosity level. Again, it's going to thin the blood, so you're going to have better circulation. Two, it goes after fibrinogen which, again, is one of the major contributing factors to strokes and heart attacks. By dissolving those formations, your risk of having a stroke or heart attack is dramatically decreased which is hugely important.
If your family has a history of that or you've had problems with that in the past, I mean absolutely, positively, then, it's also with enzymes, there's no side effects. Whereas with some of the prescription drugs and things that are being offered for similar application, you don't need to worry about that. It's not like it's going to get the blood too thin or you need to check it every so often. I mean enzymes innately know that they're going to thin the blood to the right point and you don't need to monitor, to check it like you do on some of the other drugs that are out there. Very wonderful from that perspective. Just the other cardiovascular circulatory piece would be huge.
Jason: Absolutely. Also, I heard Nattokinase can be outstanding for certain infections that can get into the blood like nanobacteria from incompletely digested food which, in turn, can affect the kidneys and the pancreas so this could be just a huge product for people with kidney, pancreatic and issues with infections in the blood itself.
Troy : Right. Then, going back to what systemic enzymes do as far as traveling through the digestive tract, absorbed into the blood stream. Again, anything that's kind of a residual or leftover from a digestive process that has found its way into the bloodstream, again, the body's going to consider that a foreign invader. A lot of different names for that [inaudible 00:05:06]complex ... circulating immune complex is that, yeah, these enzymes help to help your immune system break those things down and speed up process up and clean those things out.
Jason: Yeah, just absolutely huge. Another thing that's becoming a very hot topic is the whole autoimmune phenomenon that we have from the patient might be dominant TH1 or dominant TH2. Another thing about this lower load enzymes is they're completely neutral when it comes to the autoimmune game and that's another dance the practitioners have to walk around with certain herbs and things like that, is oh, is this patient may be dominant on this side of the immune system or the other because of wonderful things like leaky gut syndrome. With the enzymes, you don't have any worry with that. They're all just completely neutral when it comes to a dominant side of the immune system.
Troy : Yeah, absolutely wonderful product. I mean, again, the amount of clinical research that's been done out of this is phenomenal. That's why they're in the product line. I want to mention one other thing because, again, with enzymes, they predominantly do two things. They speed things up and break things down so one of the things that we can do, our patients, I recommend the patients do is, again, just increase the amount of water that they're drinking because once those things are ... it's kind of like taking a can of whatever, soup or something, everything's settled down at the bottom. Now, the enzymes are going to shake it up and all of sudden, they'll go ... Yeah, I mean if you're not drinking water and flushing that stuff out, there are going to be some other kind of side effects. There's detoxification side effects, they're ... Yeah.
Jason: Well, hopefully, most of our practitioners understand and I'm confident that they do that, our patients need to be drinking half their body weight ounces of water on a daily basis if they're under any kind of wellness program. Hopefully, that's step one.
Troy : Perfect.
